TiviMate Premium Canada: who sells it, in which currency

TiviMate is a free player for Android TV. Its optional upgrade, Premium, belongs to the developer, whose terms describe a one-time lifetime purchase and one or more auto-renewing subscriptions, with the plans, billing periods and prices shown at the point of purchase. A Canadian Google Play account therefore sees Canadian dollars at checkout. On a Fire TV Stick, which has no Google Play, Premium is unlocked through the TiviMate Companion app on an Android phone.

Premium adds app features such as recording and multiple playlists. Channels are not part of it. Those come from an IPTV subscription like ours, which you load into TiviMate with a login. Keep the two apart when you compare TiviMate Premium Canada offers: a seller promising a discounted Premium code, an activated box or a Premium APK is not the developer. Google's Play listing says TiviMate is designed for Android TV, which in practice means a Google TV device, an Android TV box or a Fire OS stick. These options are all easy to find in Canada, and every spec below is from the manufacturer. Each one runs the free app, and TiviMate Premium Canada once you sign in.

A Google TV set from Sony, TCL, Philips or Hisense already has Google Play, so you can follow our Android TV and Google TV guide on the TV itself. Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) televisions use their own app stores without TiviMate; IPTV Smarters or IBO Player fill the gap there, as our smart TV guide explains.

Warning. Amazon lists three current sticks on Vega OS rather than Fire OS: the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, the Fire TV Stick HD (2026) (Wi-Fi 6, rounded corners, "Fire TV" printed on the stick) and the Fire TV Stick 4K - 3rd Gen (2026) (white box, "4K" printed next to the HDMI plug). TiviMate cannot be installed on them. To check, open Settings › My Fire TV › About (on newer menus, Settings › Device › Fire TV) and read the software version: "Fire OS" means TiviMate installs; "OS" followed by a number starting with 1 or 2 means Vega OS.

Formuler boxes and TiviMate Premium Canada

Formuler boxes are built with IPTV in mind: they arrive with MYTVOnline 3 preinstalled and, on the Z11 Pro Max, a Gigabit Ethernet port. You have two good routes on one box: add our Xtream Codes login to MYTVOnline 3 and start watching, or install TiviMate and use the same login there. If you go the TiviMate route, TiviMate Premium Canada is again a matter for the developer: sign in with the account that paid, on each box you want unlocked. The Formuler hardware does not change the price or the features.

Six time zones and the TiviMate TV guide

The Government of Canada lists six official time zones: Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern, Atlantic and Newfoundland. Boundaries are set by the provinces and territories, and the Yukon, Saskatchewan and parts of British Columbia, Quebec and Nunavut do not observe daylight saving time. A viewer in Regina and one in Toronto can therefore see their guides drift apart by an extra hour twice a year, which is normal.

1. Let your streaming device set its time zone automatically, or pick your city by hand if you live in a zone with its own rules, such as Saskatchewan.
2. Open the TiviMate TV guide and check a program you know, like the evening news on a channel you watch every day.
3. If all the times are off by the same amount, shift the guide time in TiviMate. Our TiviMate EPG guide has the steps and the fixes for an empty guide.
4. Moving from Halifax to Calgary? Change the device time zone first; the guide usually follows.

Tip. Cottage season with a second TV? A 2-device plan lets the cottage and the house watch at the same time, each with a guide on its own local time.

Internet speed and winter-proof Wi-Fi

Plan on about 5 Mbps per screen for SD, 10 Mbps for Full HD and 25 Mbps for 4K. Long winter evenings are when everyone in the house streams at once, so add up the screens before you blame the service.

• Use Ethernet on the Formuler, the Google TV Streamer or the SHIELD; it is the steadiest connection you can give a 4K stream.
• In a basement rec room far from the router, a mesh point or a powerline adapter often helps more than a faster internet plan.
• Google's Chromecast help advises restarting the modem and router and keeping the router within about 20 feet of the streaming device.
• Test where you watch with our IPTV speed test, which downloads a file from our own server.

Still stuttering with a good result? Message us with the channel name. Support runs daily, usually within the hour, in English or French. A slow stream is a network or server question, never a TiviMate Premium Canada one, so the upgrade will not fix buffering.
