How TiviMate Premium France is billed in euros

The TiviMate developer runs its own shop for the Premium upgrade. Its terms mention a lifetime option bought once and one or more subscriptions that renew automatically, and they leave the plans, billing periods and prices to the point of purchase. Buy from France on Google Play and the total appears in euros. On a Fire TV Stick, which has no Google Play, you unlock Premium from the TiviMate Companion app on an Android phone instead.

What you get is a set of features: more than one playlist, catch-up, recording, multi-view and a few more listed in our TiviMate Premium explainer. What you do not get is television. Channels, films and series reach the app only through an IPTV subscription such as ours. So when you see TiviMate Premium France bundles advertised with channels included, read them as two products sold together by someone who is not the developer, and stay away from Premium codes or modified APKs.

An English page for viewers living in France

This page is written for English speakers based in France: British and Irish residents in Brittany or the Dordogne, Americans in Paris, students on an exchange year, and anyone who simply prefers to read setup help in English. Nothing about the service changes with the language you read it in. The login is the same, the apps are the same, and our support answers on WhatsApp in English or French, daily and usually within the hour. Your TiviMate Premium France purchase stays with the developer either way.

Streaming devices for TiviMate in France

TiviMate is built for Android TV, according to its Google Play listing, so the device you connect to the TV decides whether it runs, with or without TiviMate Premium France. These are straightforward choices on the French market, with specs taken from the makers' own pages. All of them run the free app and TiviMate Premium France.

• Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Gen, 2023), sold on amazon.fr: Fire OS 8, 2 GB of memory, 16 GB of storage and Wi-Fi 6E. Installation is covered in our TiviMate on Firestick guide.
• Google TV Streamer: Google Store lists it for France. It has 4 GB of memory, 32 GB of storage and a 1 Gbps Ethernet port, and Google Play is built in.
• Xiaomi TV Box S (3rd Gen): Xiaomi sells it in France as a Google TV box; check Xiaomi's French page for its specifications.
• Google TV televisions from TCL, Philips, Sony and Hisense: Google Play is on the TV, so TiviMate installs without an extra box. Our Android TV and Google TV guide applies.
• NVIDIA SHIELD TV Pro: 3 GB of memory, 16 GB of storage and Gigabit Ethernet, for very large playlists.

Warning. Some recent Amazon sticks are not Fire OS devices. Amazon's spec page puts the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, the Fire TV Stick HD (2026) (Wi-Fi 6, rounded corners, "Fire TV" printed on the stick) and the Fire TV Stick 4K - 3rd Gen (2026) (white box, "4K" printed next to the HDMI plug) on Vega OS, where TiviMate cannot be installed. To check, open Settings › My Fire TV › About (on newer menus, Settings › Device › Fire TV) and read the software version: "Fire OS" means TiviMate installs; "OS" followed by a number starting with 1 or 2 means Vega OS.

Own a Samsung or LG television? Samsung runs Tizen and LG runs webOS, and their stores do not carry TiviMate. You can still watch with IPTV Smarters or IBO Player, following our smart TV setup guide, or add one of the devices above.

CET, CEST and the times in your TV guide

Mainland France keeps Central European Time, UTC+1, in winter and Central European Summer Time, UTC+2, in summer. Across the EU, summer time starts on the last Sunday of March and ends on the last Sunday of October; Germany's national metrology institute, PTB, gives the exact hours, 2 a.m. CET forward and 3 a.m. CEST back. In 2026 the dates were 29 March and 25 October.

1. Set your device to the Paris time zone, or to automatic network time, so its clock follows CET and CEST.
2. Open the TiviMate guide and pick a programme you know the start time of.
3. If every entry is shifted by the same number of hours, change the guide time in TiviMate. Our TiviMate EPG guide explains where and why.
4. After each clock change, glance at the guide once; with the device on automatic time it should already be right.

Tip. Moving from London to Lyon with your stick? The UK is one hour behind France all year, so a guide that was right in England will look an hour late until the device switches to the Paris time zone.

Paying from France with a euro account

We never take money for TiviMate Premium France; that goes to the developer through Google Play or its own site. Since our plans are priced in USD, a French bank card pays in dollars and the bank converts to euros on its own terms, sometimes with a fee for card payments outside the euro zone. PayPal works the same way. If you want to know the euro cost before ordering, the figure under each plan above is close, though not exact.

Fibre, Wi-Fi and 4K in a French home

Count about 5 Mbps per screen for SD, 10 Mbps for Full HD and 25 Mbps for 4K. Fibre connections leave plenty of headroom; the usual trouble is the distance between the router and the TV, especially in old stone houses with thick walls.

• Connect by cable when the router is near: the Google TV Streamer and the SHIELD have a port, and the 4K Max accepts Amazon's adapter.
• On Wi-Fi, prefer the 5 GHz band and keep the stick clear of the TV's metal back panel.
• Google's Chromecast help suggests restarting the modem and router, and keeping the router within about 20 feet, around 6 metres, of the device.
• Measure from the sofa, not the router, with our IPTV speed test.

Holiday homes on a slower rural line can still run SD and most Full HD channels at around 10 Mbps. If speed looks fine and the picture still freezes, tell us which channel and we will check it. Upgrading to TiviMate Premium France will not change stream quality, because Premium adds features, not bandwidth.
