TiviMate Premium Germany: what the developer charges, and how

Premium is the paid layer of the TiviMate app, and the developer keeps its sale to itself. According to the TiviMate terms, buyers can choose a one-time lifetime purchase or an auto-renewing subscription, and the plans, billing periods and prices are displayed at the point of purchase. A German Google Play account will therefore quote euros. Owners of a Fire TV device, which lacks Google Play, buy and unlock Premium through the TiviMate Companion app on an Android phone.

Premium unlocks app features, for example recording and several playlists side by side. It contains no programmes. Those are delivered by an IPTV subscription, which is what TiviMatePremium.shop sells. Be sceptical of anything marketed as a TiviMate Premium Germany package with channels thrown in: only the developer sells Premium, so such offers mix a code of unknown origin with someone's IPTV. Hardware for TiviMate in German living rooms

TiviMate's Play listing calls it an app designed for Android TV, so pick hardware running Android TV, Google TV or Amazon's Fire OS. The figures below come from each manufacturer's published specifications, and every device listed runs both the free app and TiviMate Premium Germany.

Warning. Before you buy a new Fire TV Stick in Germany, check its system. Amazon's specification page lists the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, the Fire TV Stick HD (2026) (Wi-Fi 6, rounded corners, "Fire TV" printed on the stick) and the Fire TV Stick 4K - 3rd Gen (2026) (white box, "4K" printed next to the HDMI plug) with Vega OS, and TiviMate cannot be installed on Vega OS. To check, open Settings › My Fire TV › About (on newer menus, Settings › Device › Fire TV) and read the software version: "Fire OS" means TiviMate installs; "OS" followed by a number starting with 1 or 2 means Vega OS.

MEZ, MESZ and a guide that shows the right hour

Germany's legal time is kept by PTB, the national metrology institute. Its rule: Central European Summer Time (MESZ, UTC+2) begins on the last Sunday of March at 2 a.m. MEZ, and ends on the last Sunday of October at 3 a.m. MESZ, when clocks return to Central European Time (MEZ, UTC+1). For 2026 those Sundays were 29 March and 25 October.

1. Choose Berlin as the time zone on your device, or let it set the time from the network.
2. In TiviMate, open the guide and compare one programme with a time you know.
3. Should every listing be off by the same number of hours, shift the guide time in TiviMate. Our TiviMate EPG guide shows the steps and what to do about missing listings.
4. Recordings and reminders depend on the guide, so set the time before you schedule anything.

Shared flats and family homes: how many screens?

Our plans count screens that play at the same moment, not TVs in the building. That makes the choice simple even in a Wohngemeinschaft, the classic German shared flat.

• 1 device: a single flat or a couple with one TV; $49.98 for 12 months, the equivalent of $4.16/mo.
• 2 devices: two people in a shared flat watching in their own rooms, or a living room plus a bedroom; $84.98 for 12 months.
• 3 devices: a three-room shared flat or a family home with a kids' tablet; $114.98 for 12 months.

Each extra screen needs its own share of bandwidth, roughly 10 Mbps for Full HD or 25 Mbps for 4K, so check the line before choosing three 4K screens. You can move to more devices later by messaging us.

Paying from Germany in dollars

We charge every plan in US dollars. A Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card works, as do American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, Bitcoin, USDT, Western Union, MoneyGram and bank transfer. Your bank converts from dollars to euros, and some accounts charge a fee for payments in a foreign currency, so it is worth checking your account terms.

Router, Wi-Fi and cable tips for a stable 4K picture

Count about 5 Mbps per screen for SD, 10 Mbps for Full HD and 25 Mbps for 4K. In many apartments the router sits in the hallway next to the phone socket, with concrete walls between it and the TV.

• A LAN cable is the most reliable fix. The Google TV Streamer, Fire TV Cube and SHIELD have a port, and the 4K Max works with Amazon's adapter.
• On Wi-Fi, use 5 GHz. Amazon points out that the 4K Max needs a Wi-Fi 6E router to use Wi-Fi 6E.
• Google's Chromecast help recommends restarting the router and modem and keeping the router within about 20 feet, around 6 metres, of the device.
